TNPL 2023 is a domestic T20 league that takes place every year in India. So far, we have seen six successful seasons of the league and the seventh one is underway. The tournament takes place in a round-robin format where 8 teams participate, out of which four teams advance to the knockout stage. As the 7th season is underway, we have seen so many thrilling games. Three teams have already been qualified for the knockout stage and one more is yet to be finalized.
The tournament started on June 12 and will end on 12 July. With only 5 games left, it’s the right time to share the details about the top players of the season. This article focuses on the TNPL players who have done exceptionally well throughout the season so far.
TNPL 2023: Sai Sudarshan
This talented young left-arm batsman who recently debuted in IPL is continuing his good form in TNPL 2023. He represents Lyca Kovai Kings in the TNPL and currently is the leading scorer in the league. Furthermore, he has so far scored 371 runs in 6 matches at an average of 74.20, including 4 half-centuries. That’s why he got selected for Gujarat Titans in IPL and he scored 503 runs in 13 innings of IPL 2023.
TNPL 2023: Baba Aparajith
He is the 2nd leading run scorer in the league. Baba Aparajith is a very talented top-order batting all-rounder for Chepauk Super Gillies who has scored 237 runs with an average of 47.17 in 7 games. Moreover, he has also picked up 7 wickets so far this season.
TNPL 2023: Shivam Singh
A talented opening batsman Shivam Singh plays for the Dindigul Dragons team. So far, Shivam has scored 262 runs in 6 games. That’s quite impressive!
Shivam is currently in second place in the list of most runs scored in the tournament. He is just behind Baba Aparajith, who has scored a bit more than him. But Shivam’s performances have been outstanding, and he’s doing a great job for his team.
His highest score in a single game is 74 runs, and that’s a remarkable achievement. It means that in one match, he batted exceptionally well and made a lot of runs for his team. That must have been an exciting game to watch!
Shivam has also managed to score three half-centuries so far. This means that in three games, he reached the milestone of scoring 50 runs or more. It’s not easy to score a half-century, so this shows how skilled Shivam is with his batting.
The Dindigul Dragons, Shivam’s team, have also qualified for the knockouts. This means that they have performed well in the tournament and will continue playing in the upcoming matches. It’s exciting because we’ll get to see more of Shivam’s batting skills in those important matches.
TNPL 2023: Shahrukh Khan
The captain of Lyca Kovai, Shahrukh Khan, has been performing exceptionally well. Not only is he a talented bowler, but he is also a skilled all-rounder. Shahrukh Khan topped the list of wicket-takers this season by taking an impressive 13 wickets in 7 games.
Shahrukh Khan is not only a valuable player but also the leader of his team. He carries the responsibility of being the captain of Lyca Kovai. His leadership skills and exceptional performances have helped his team reach great heights in the tournament.
Thanks to Shahrukh Khan’s brilliant bowling and the contributions of his teammate, Sai Sudarshan, Lyca Kovai is currently at the top of the points table. This means they have been performing exceptionally well and have secured a spot in the Knockout stage of the tournament.
Buvaneshwaran P
Bhuvaneswaran P from the Idream Tiruppur Tamizhans has been doing a great job as a bowler. He has taken a total of 13 wickets in six games. That’s quite an achievement! With an average of 13.61, he has been very effective in restricting the opposition’s runs. This means that, on average, he concedes around 13 runs per wicket he takes. That’s impressive! Although he has slipped to the second spot in the list of most wickets, his performances have been outstanding. Moreover, he has been a key player for the Idream Tiruppur Tamizhans and has contributed to their success in the matches.

TNPL 2023 is almost nearing an end and these players have done exceptionally well for their respective teams. We have seen that Sai Sudarshan was given a chance in IPL where he made full use of the opportunity. However, players like him are waiting for such opportunities where they can show their talent at the international level.
